My printer was driving me crazy with its incessant racket, so I set out to silence it once and for all. I tried placing various materials beneath the noisemaker - foams, rubbers, you name it - but nothing seemed to do the trick. Undeterred, I turned to a clever solution: using rubber rings with a diameter of 12mm and a height of 8mm. I designed a simple mechanism to hold these rubber rings in place, effectively creating a suspension system that dampens vibrations and reduces noise. And guess what? It worked like a charm! My printer is now much quieter, and it's still too early to tell about its impact on print speed - but the initial tests are looking promising. It's worth noting that this modification will work with Geeetech i3 Pro B printers, regardless of their frame material: plywood, aluminium, or plastic. The thickness limit is 5.6mm, so most frames should be compatible. For added stability and vibration reduction, you can opt for a single rubber tube or a double one - both versions are available.
