The Prusa i3 MK3 is a remarkably quiet printer, but my neighborhood's tranquility often gets disrupted when even the slightest noise escapes. During infilling of narrow parts, the printer would produce an oscillation that annoyed nearby residents and led me to wonder if a more flexible base could dampen it. I was thrilled to discover that installing a damper made a significant difference - the neighbor hasn't complained since its installation. It's unclear how much of a difference it made, but my neighbor's silence is likely due in part to his newfound appreciation for my research process after being kept informed throughout.
