Just a simple two-part vibration damper foot to put on the end of a piece of 2020 aluminum extrusion. Just what it says on the tin. :-) They raise whatever they're supporting by 20 to 25 mm, depending on how heavy that thing is and how flexible the filament you used is. It's designed for Misumi Series-5 extrusion, but I don't see why it wouldn't work for other brands/variations. Print instructionsPrint the top part in PLA, PETG, or some other hard plastic, then print the ball section in TPU or something else flexible. Use two M3 x 10-12 mm screws to fasten the two parts together, or just glue them. The screws will be cutting their own threads into the TPU, so they shouldn't be driven in too tightly or they'll just strip-out. Then tap the end of the 2020 for M5 threads, and use a 15-20 mm screw to mount the foot to it. Use a high infill density (say 50% or so) and lots of perimeters on the ball part -- this is to make the square-ish section of it reasonably solid, so that those M3 screws can get a serviceable grip. The round section of this part is thin enough that it'll only consist of one perimeter loop plus infill no matter what settings you use. Pictured here are Atomic Deep Black PETG, SainSmart bright green TPU (Shore hardness 95A).
