Vibrating Bowl Feeder MKII - 3D Print - Industrial Automation 3D print model
cgtrader
This is the latest design for our 3D printable vibrating bowl feeder. It's a major upgrade from our previous MKI bowl feeder, which had some serious limitations. The new design is much larger and functions much more reliably, making it perfect for heavy-duty use. The required components are all generic parts that can be sourced cheaply from online retailers like eBay, Alibre or Amazon. You won't need any fancy materials to print this - regular PLA will do the trick. Just make sure you have a reliable 3D printer with a good temperature control system. This bundle includes all of the STL files, as well as the original SolidWorks files if you want to dig deeper into the design. We've included everything: final release files, developmental files, and even some alternate bowl styles to give you plenty of options. We tested this design using ABS material for its favorable wear characteristics and springiness, but any similar polymer should work just fine. You can see the feeder in action on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkNtlXqbp94&t=171s And here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwgzDpe0PMY&t=8s To assemble this feeder, you'll need some 8mm hard chrome bar, a flanged 8mm linear bearing (LMF8UU) and a few M3 fasteners. The motor is a standard 385 frame sized Vibrating motor from eBay - these are usually super cheap and come in all sorts of styles. You'll also need a PWM controller (get one with a decent frequency response for best results), a power supply, and some hookup wire. There's even a cut-out in the base for mounting a 40mmx20mm cooling fan if you want to go wild. Assembly is relatively straightforward - most parts clip together or use M3 cap screws to secure them in place. You'll need to cut the 8mm hard chrome bar to length using an abrasive cut-off disk, but this is easy to do before assembling the main components.
