Tuning Knob with a Rubber Grip.\r\n\r\nI've embarked on the journey of flexible filament, and I'm making progress despite still being in the early stages. My prints are getting better, but there's room for improvement.\r\n\r\nThe first part of the print is the knob body, which is an adaptation of my mBitx radio tuning knob that I created earlier. For this component, I've been using ABS, but any type will do.\r\n\r\nNext up is the outside grip, printed in Bilby-like rubber filament. This piece slides onto the knob body seamlessly.\r\n\r\nI've experimented with printing speeds and found that slower is indeed better. I'm currently achieving good results at 15-20mm/s.\r\n\r\nIn addition to Bilby-like rubber filament, I've also tried 3Dfillies PLAflex. The latter produces a shinier finish than the former. Take a look at the first photo with the knob in my hand; it's been printed with PLAflex at a speed of 20mm/s.\r\n\r\n
