Vex Versaplanetary gearbox 90 degree drive cover
thingiverse
This is a protective cover for the 90 degree VersaPlanetary drive kit from Vex Robotics, designed and printed to conceal exposed bevel gears. The cover slides onto the side of the gearset and features holes for securing it with a bolt. To install, I recommend first attaching the 90 degree gearbox and then removing two tabs to allow clearance for the mounting bolts. A mounting bolt is incorrectly depicted clamping on the case in the provided picture; I will attempt to upload a corrected image shortly. Only one bolt should be used to secure the cover, and it must not be part of the gearset's holding bolts. For optimal results, I suggest printing the cover in the orientation shown, with support enabled. Both the STL and SLDPRT files are available for download, enabling you to modify the design as needed.
