Vex Pro Mod for Mr Baddeley's R2-D2 Center Foot
thingiverse
This is a remix of Mr. Baddeley's R2-D2 Version 2 Center Foot to incorporate the Vex Pro Front Foot Wheel Assembly by Kevin Holme (https://astromech.net/forums/showthread.php?33405-Vex-Pro-Front-Foot-Wheel-Assy-BC-Approved-175-(Oct-2017)-Open). The foot shell has been modified to carve out a bit of space in front and behind, since this assembly is slightly longer than Mr. Baddeley's original design. Some of the ribs have also been modified where they intersect the carved out portion of the foot shell. I've included a foot skin support bracket that provides a place for the foot shell to rest on as they "float" above the wheel assembly. The foot bracket fits inside the square hole of the foot skin support bracket. There is a drilling jig, designed to align the holes of the foot bracket properly on the wheel assembly (which comes without mounting holes predrilled). If you're planning on 2-3-2, it's worth inquiring about the weight difference between these and the 3D printed wheels to ensure you stay within tolerance of the center foot lift mechanism.
