VEX Goal Support, 2021-22 Season

This part was designed to help add additional support to the center pole of the Goals using in competition for the 2021-22 season of VEX robotics. Without this additional support the center shaft hole will crack and break out of the goal after being tipped over many times by the robots. The part slides on the bottom section of the goal shaft to provide addition support between the shaft and the metal ring. There is a snug fit on the center shaft, but it is also locked in place by the collar that VEX has provided to tighten the post into the center shaft. After printing this part is only about 1.25 oz of additional weight, which is nothing. Once this is installed, you can additionally place some epoxy on the top side where the post is inserted into the center shaft hole. I have included some pictures to help show how this is used to help get your goals through the rest of this season. Final pro tip: Place a small amount of epoxy on the lip of the part that comes in contact with the metal plate. That will help fill any gaps from printing between the part and the metal plate to make a secure support connection.
