The Convent of the Mathurins was the headquarters of the Trinitarian Order in the early 13th century, located right in the heart of Paris next to the current Museum of the Middle Ages Cluny (intersection of rue du Sommerard and rue de Cluny), until the order's dissolution in 1790. This site served as the seat of the University of Paris, where all assemblies were held in the cloister. The entire complex was destroyed during the Revolution, with some remains discovered and destroyed during the Baron Haussman's construction works. In 1907, a remaining arcade fragment was uncovered when a nearby store was demolished, and it can still be seen by passersby today. Other remnants are also visible in private courtyards of contemporary buildings. The convent building before its destruction Photos: Samsung phone; Agisoft Photoscan
