Vesper Marine Remote VHF Speaker Adapter

Vesper Marine Remote VHF Speaker Adapter

thingiverse

An adapter to put a 75mm speaker into a 90mm instrument hole. A friend of mine was trying to fill the hole left by his old Raymarine Autopilot with a Vesper remote VHF speaker, unfortunately the hole is 3.5" and the speaker is just under 3.5". I made this adapter so he could secure the speaker to the bulkhead. I would just use some 3m 4000 to seal the edge and seal the speaker to the adapter. You could also use screws, I didn't have a speaker here handy or I would have added some but printed at 50% infill is plenty of meat to run those little screws into. I'd still seal the flange with 4000 to maintain the weatherproof properties. I scaled the lock ring to 101% to get the threads to play nice with eachother. You may need to adjust based on how your printer prints.
