Vespasian, Caesar in full Vespasianus Augustus, originally Titus Flavius Vespasianus, was born on November 17, AD 9, in Reate [Rieti], Latium. He died on June 24, 79. As Roman emperor from AD 69 to 79, he rose from humble beginnings to found the Flavian dynasty after Nero's death in 68. His financial reforms and empire consolidation brought about stability and a massive building program across Rome. This object is part of "Scan The World".
