Please consider joining our Tribe Vesna is the goddess of youth, life and spring. In fact, her very name means spring. She is the bringer of first spring rains, which she begs Perun to send in order to bring fertility to the earth. She protects young women and girls and there are some sages who think of her as the other face of Great Mother Mokosh. Vesna is gentle divinity, that never punishes her faithful and always gives her blessings. Her opposite is Morana, the goddess of death and winter, who sometimes overcomes the spring for a short while, making Vesna weep.
