Finally works nicely! I'll admit this is very different from original design. The goal was sturdiness and sturdiness was achieved! However, even going through shape optimization, arms that rotate away from the wall are really hard to design because they bend sometimes other times not at all and it was really hard to get a predictable and trustworthy result. My monitor is very old, and thus very heavy. I am confident that this mount will accommodate any monitor. The Fusion file is parametric, so if you would like a thicker hook, it's just a parameter, very easy to modify. This design relies on a 2x4, about 2'6'' long, to bridge between 2 studs in the wall. You can translate the screen along this wood beam. Other than this wood beam and screws, everything is printed. I highly recommand PETG for this one, since it is used to support a load. I used a 0.8mm nozzle with a Prusa MK3, default settings. Not a challenging print at all! The little rings are for tensioning with a rope if needed! Look up Taut Knot and you'll understand. Didn't need it on my application though.
