One aspect of 3D printing that I find appealing is how it fosters a tight-knit community, which is crucial to expanding 3D printing's boundaries. Recycling others' ideas and designs not only saves time but also creates a versatile toolbox without the need for reinventing the wheel. My project involved mounting a TFT monitor on my wall with two parallel rails for easy movement. I used a VESA mount from Thingiverse (compatible with 7cm and 10cm VESA varieties) and a Z bar clamp adapted from Mendel90 for 12mm bars. The carriage, designed to hold the monitor's VESA mount and using Mendel90's linear bearing trap, allows smooth movement left and right. I've also shared my FreeCAD file for those who wish to customize it to their needs. Assembly is straightforward – simply print the components. Zip ties help secure the bars on the carriage, eliminating the need for linear bearings, which I believe are unnecessary for this application.
