VESA Mount Adapter Plate for Monitor Speakers
prusaprinters

I wanted a better way to mount my speakers, and to get them off of my desk and reclaim my desk space. I decided to mount them onto a dual-monitor arm so the speakers would flank my monitor and be able to be positioned better. The only issue was that I needed a way to adapt the speaker to attach securely to the VESA mount, so I designed this adapter plate.

This adapter plate uses a 75x75mm VESA pattern, however I have included the STEP file so you can easily adjust it to use the common 100x100mm (or any other) pattern.

What you will need for each adapter plate:

4x M5x12mm button head screws

4x M5 heat-set inserts

25mm 3M VHB tape

I highly recommend a soldering iron with temperature control for installing the heat-set inserts, such as a Pinecil.

I printed this in Carbon Fiber PETG with 5 perimeters for the heat-set inserts. PLA, ABS, ASA would also be fine.

Assembly is simple:

Set your soldering iron to at or below the printing temperature of your material.

Position the adapter plate on the edge of a table with the flat side UP

Place the insert over the hole and gently push it through with the soldering iron. Repeat for all four holes

Apply VHB tape. If you use 12mm screws, you can safely cover the holes with VHB as they will be flush with the plate

Stick plate to the bottom of your speaker

Attach to your VESA mount with the M5 Screws
