I bought several Dell monitors and utilized them for some time before deciding to upgrade my setup. Eventually, I acquired a mount, allowing me to have a 4-monitor configuration. These monitors did not come with VESA mounts, so I was compelled to consider replacing all my monitors. I decided to design an adapter that would fit on my monitor and securely hold it to my VESA mounts. This is the resulting mount. Print the mount in Nylon with 100% infill, standing upright, and without supports. Two built-in supports can be clipped away easily if needed. You may need to fine-tune the fit slightly, but it should work well. The version provided requires cutting 1/2 inch from the plastic flap covering the mount on the monitor. I am currently working on an updated design that does not require this modification. Also included is a separate monitor mount that utilizes a bolt with approximately 1/4" thickness. One end of the bolt has a 3M pad to keep it upright, and two nuts allow for fine adjustments of the angle. 9/17/18 I added a Monitor Bolt Holder feature to the design. A .25" threaded rod is screwed into the bolt holder and secured with washers and nuts at the desired angle. This setup can also be used for fine angle adjustments. 9/18/18 I woke up to a loud crash, only to discover that the adhesive pad had come loose, causing my monitor to fly towards my desk. The bracket snapped at its weakest point, prompting me to reconsider my approach. For improved stability, I recommend gluing one of these mounts to the back of your monitor. Then, slide a zip tie through the top hole and pull it tight, allowing for a slight flex in the mount. Proper positioning should result in the Dell logo on the back resembling a power symbol, with the zip tie holder bisecting the circle vertically. This design was printed in Nylon and can be used to enhance the stability of your monitor setup.
