VESA Adapter for Aluminium Apple Cinema HD Display

**UPDATE: I've put few of these on Etsy with free shipping: https://www.etsy.com/listing/943346116/vesa-adapter-for-aluminium-apple-cinema** I am using two 23-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays for years and with 2020 situation I started to develop neck pains. Maybe in 2000s people were shorter but for me the original aluminium legs for these monitors are way too short. In comes books, boxes, a brick at one point–all to lift the screen a little. But it also made these pretty heavy monitors really wobbly, so I stared to look for VESA mounts. Long story short, Apple is not selling those. Even though I found some original adapters on eBay prices were astronomical ($75-100 without shipping). Enter 3D print! This is a remix of Lazerlord's 30" Cinema Display adapter for 20" and 23" models. GoPro mount (remix of https://www.tinkercad.com/things/bIA2G1cEBEx-gopro-mount ) is for future accessories like webcam or lighting. It's probably an overkill but I used M6 nuts and outside VESA holes (100x100 one). I printer the central part first to fine tune printer settings. Still ended up with an extremely tight fit. Eventually I printed it with: • transparent PLA to see eventual cracks • 1.4mm wall • 0.2mm layer • 20% infill • Lazerlord suggests at least 0.8mm walls and 15% infill and I'd probably go with it next time.
