VESA 200 x 100 adaptor for Dell Monitor stand
thingiverse
I needed a TV stand with a 200 x 100 VESA mount for my screen. After searching online, I couldn't find one that suited me, so I bought a surplus Dell stand and set out to create an adapter. The adapter fits directly onto the Dell stand via four countersunk M4 x 10mm bolts. I purchased a stand designed for a 22-inch monitor, which had a counter-weighted mechanism (a spring in the arm allowed easy up-and-down movement). The tolerances on the adapter are zero, meaning that if you print it at 0.35mm like I did, you'll need to carefully run a 4mm drill bit through the holes and use a countersinking bit to get the bolts to sit flush. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.35mm Infill: 20% Notes: Printed on a Prusa i3 Mk2 using Slic3r standard settings and a thin layer of glue on the bed. It just barely fits on a Mk42 heated bed. Designing This I designed this in FreeCAD 0.16. I'm still learning FreeCAD, so this was a practical exercise for me to try out my new skills. Originally, I designed it as a 4mm 'H' section which wasn't stiff enough and didn't look good. I took measurements from the stand I was adapting, then used simple primary shapes to come up with the design.
