Very thin iPhone 7 case with tactile feel - expanded metal design
thingiverse
This is a sleek iPhone 7 case, designed from scratch using Apple's precise specifications. It boasts the same curved shape and rounded corners as the phone itself. The fit is incredibly tight, yet remains flexible enough to snap effortlessly over the device. This balance of precision was achieved with rigid filaments in mind. I opted for an extremely slim design, which I personally prefer, while ensuring it can still be placed face down without scratching the screen. The pattern is inspired by sheet metal perforations, mimicking the look of expanded metal. To prevent warping during printing, I included anti-warp discs that simply snap off once done. To smooth any sharp edges, a lighter will do the trick. Any form of warping or blobs can cause the phone to fit improperly, so be sure to clean up thoroughly after printing. I printed this case at 0.2mm layer thickness and 20% infill density or more for optimal results.
