VertuoMat - dampening mat for Vertuo Capsules

I'm a "coffeeholic" and I use with the utmost pleasure my Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, but I hate the idea of creating so much waste by using an aluminium pod just one time. So I started recycling them (refilling) and I have pods that have done over one-year usage cycle without the slightest problem. The only issue I noticed is that due to the height of the machine, when the waste bin is empty and the first pods are dumped, the impact with the plastic risks deforming the rim or the bottom of the pod. Instead of putting just a bit of paper on the bottom of the bin to cushion the fall, I went and took advantage of TPU and 3DPrinting. The VertuoPad is designed to cushion the fall of the pods without limiting the actual bin capacity (it's only 10mm in height) and without creating an obstacle for cleaning the bin. Having a grid-style surface with an average distance between the pillars of 4.7mm and a max height of 8mm, the pad can catch a pod falling on its side effectively preventing the rim (where is located the barcode needed for the pod to work) from folding or curling. The height leaves the pod enough space to decelerate without being able to impact with the rim the bottom of the bin. Also, the VertuoPad is conceived to consume as little filament as possible by printing the "square blocks" without filling and using a honeycomb infill for the base in order to achieve a better shock-absorbing function without the need to create a solid, thick base of TPU. (see the printing instructions) Side tolerances should be enough to be used with all the Vertuo Machines Pods Bin, but I tested only on the XN9031 version.
