Vertically adjustable Y rod clip
thingiverse
This adapter may be employed in Mendel-like printers to regulate the height of a Y axis smooth rod at the extremity where it is utilized. The connected STLs are for an M8 threaded rod and an 8mm smooth rod. Vertical adjustment is crucial to ensure that both Y rods remain parallel in the vertical direction, thus avoiding uneven movement as the bed shifts. A discerning indication of required adjustment is noticed when you adjust the side-mounted bed screws and the bed is levelled with the nozzle at one side, but when checking on the opposing edge side, the nozzle exhibits varying heights despite moving the bed uniformly. These components were crafted using my ScadGen Python tool, which enables generation of OpenSCAD or OpenJSCAD code. To generate OpenSCAD and open it up, enter: python2.7 /main.py ymount.py -o output.scad -s
