I really liked that project, but I wanted something even more minimalist for my outdoor space, so I modified the design to suit my needs. I made sure that the 608 bearings press fit snugly into the top and bottom of the actual spinners. What you'll need: One Top One Bottom One Spacer Either One Top Cone or One Top Cone A depending on whether it's mounted from above or standing upright. The cone is designed to protect the upper bearing from rain, snow, or any other elements. Two 608 Bearings One length of 5/16-18 or 8mm threaded rod Two 5/16-18 or 8mm nuts A designated area for it! Everything goes on the plate just as I have it set up. The supports are only needed at the top and bottom, you won't need them anywhere else.
