Vertical Wall Mount For Chainsword
thingiverse
Hey all, the chainsword was my very first big print and I didn't see any other ways of displaying it, so I made one. The mounting holes are countersunk so you can use decking screws to attach it to a stud, kinda needed with how heavy the chainsword is. On a related note, I set my infill to 75% for the top bracket. Probably overkill, but I wasn't keen on risking the sword. The bottom bracket is just to keep the sword from tilting and looking dumb, it doesn't need to be as sturdy as the top. Additionally, depending on your settings the tolerances may be loose enough to put felt on the inside of the brackets so you don't scratch up the paint on your chainsword. I would also do this for the top of the top bracket, as that's where a lot of contact is going to be. Print them looking like big plastic 'J's and you shouldn't have any issues.
