Vertical Seder Plate
thingiverse
During Passover, my wife - a rabbi - encouraged me to design a vertical seder plate using seven pieces that hold traditional liners. OpenSCAD helped ensure precise tolerances for stability. You can modify the design if desired, and rotate arms independently for adjustable fitting. Seder plate liners are available online; I later added a larger base with thinner spokes. It worked well for two seders, allowing guests to easily view contents compared to flat plates. Stratasys featured it in their e-card, and 3ders.org even did an article on it. Printing instructions for MakerBot Replicator2 are provided, with one base, arm_top, and five arms needed for completion. OpenSCAD users should adjust the "top" variable depending on desired print.
