Vertical rack for the Creality Ender2 controller board and Raspberry Pi3+
thingiverse
I edit Update to V2 due to small adjustments (12V-Powercord retention hole bigger, vent screw holes smaller). I wanted to gain free access to the left levelling screw and combine a Pi3+ board with the Ender2's controller-board. The panel with screen and knob stays mobile on the ribbon. So I came up with a vertical PC-card like approach for placing them both. This design is maintenance-friendly and space-efficient. This project is still in progress. I want to add a box-casing - also vertical and printable in vasemode - and an ultraflat attachable box for the panel-unit as well as a Pi-Camery-arm, all coming from this lightweight rack. The baseline for me is that I do not want to modify the hardware of the Ender2, nor drill any new holes or extend the perfectly small footprint. Therefore, I implemented also the stock board-cooling-fan. Please give comments if you have suggestions for the idea. For now, it fits perfectly. Best regards and happy sharing! P.S.: This project goes well with my minimalistic Z-endstop-carriage, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3112374 , and my spiral spool adapter, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3122907 .
