vertical polar drawbot (robot dessinateur vertical)
thingiverse
I built the polar drawbot from daGHIZmo first (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:798076). Thanks to him! However, I gradually modified the pieces of the "chariot" to get a better way of working. The only pieces that I didn't modify are the hub, the rings for arms and the lockring which are originals from daGHIZmo's. I also made several other pieces for my polargraph and I share them here but they are not absolutely essential. Print Settings Printer: Vertex K8400 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: from 30% to 60% according to the parts Notes: Printed in PLA Post-Printing How I Designed This Designed with FreeCad Custom Section Assembly For the bolts without a nut, I tapped holes directly into the PLA at the right step of threading of the corresponding bolts. The weights are made from several steel washers 20 mm in diameter (10g weight each). For better coherence of the set, glue together the two parts "porte_poids haut" and "porte_poids_bas" (black parts on the pictures) with cyanoacrylate glue.
