After numerous attempts at creating mounts for Immersion RC FatShark 600mw transmitters, I finally settled on one that I liked enough to share. Key features include: 1) Positioning the clover leaf antenna as high above or beneath the quadcopter's frame as possible; 2) A strong and lightweight design without excessive engineering; 3) Visibility of the TX LED; 4) Efficient cooling for the transmitter; 5) Flexibility to accommodate various multirotor or quadcopter frames; 6) Design in OpenSCAD; and 7) Somewhat aerodynamic shape. The mount is designed to be attached to a 15.5mm aluminum HomeDepot towel rack bar (available here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:190912), which I also use on my H quadcopter. If you're using a FatShark FPV TVL 600 CCD camera, you can also use my mounting design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:227037) for the bar. Note that there may be minor tweaks to this design in the future. Optional TOOL file provided for cleaner printing, but it's not necessary. For the mount, print with 20% infill, 2 shells, and .2mm layer height. Pause the print at 68%, insert the TOOL about 4cm into the mount opening, and continue printing. Remove the support TOOL after the print is complete. If you choose not to use the tool, the design still works well on a Replicator 2 with minimal loose filament threads.
