Vertical Loop

Vertical Loop

I crafted this DIY project ages ago but never shared it publicly until now, thanks to some recently cleared time to design and print a track and vertical loop that could make for an entertaining toy for my little girl to play with. She employs four balls of varying sizes in the accompanying video; a tennis ball or anything similar would work fine. However, the harder plastic ball didn't function as well as its softer counterparts. Unfortunately, we lacked any Matchbox cars to test, but they might also be viable options! To view the creation in action, check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7Fc6T-DE1E Below are some detailed instructions for assembling the DIY track: It took a considerable amount of time to print this complex structure. The three legs and three bases required several hours each to complete. Additionally, the loop is split into three distinct pieces with four connector parts in total; gluing the parts together can help if they don't come out perfectly. I printed everything on a Rep 2 using natural PLA filament.
