Vertical Leather Wallet Template - with Cyclist Stamp
thingiverse
This is the template to create a vertical wallet. I've thrown in a bonus cyclist stamp I made for marking the leather for this particular project (for the cycling enthusiast in your life). The template consists of three pieces. The template pieces are designed at 3mm thickness, however you can get away with as thin as 1mm thickness if you offset them into the build plate. To make the wallet after printing the three template pieces, you'll want to cut out the following from a piece of 2/3oz vegtan: 2 x Body1 1 x Pocket1 1 x Pocket2 Steps: 1) Cut pieces uses template 2) Dye pieces 3) Edge crease and burnish top edges of all pieces before assembly 4) Stitch Pocket 2 onto Body1#1 5) Assemble Pocket1 and Body1#2 onto wallet, stitch 6) Trim edges flush, then sand raw edges 400 grit 7) #0 edge bevel 8) Dye and burnish edges
