Hello everyone, I'm new to 3D printing and OpenSCAD, so do be kind with your comments. I am sharing a customizable 3D vertical plant grow platform that can be adjusted for size, number of stems, thickness, etc. I'd like to spark a discussion to assess the feasibility of using 3D printing for this project by posing these questions: Is there a recommended "food-safe" PLA product available? Can a tower with such design withstand plants over 6 feet in height? Does it handle the stretching force when hung? Would the cost of printing this project justify its implementation? Are there standard printing settings for wall and insert thickness? What's the best method to join each section - threading, tie-wraps, or both?
