The original filastruder assembly proved cumbersome for hopper removal or changing to a horizontal position; however, its two-piece removable hoppers were appreciated. Unfortunately, they provided insufficient pellet feed rates. The 2-liter bottle hopper covered only around 13mm of the opening, causing slow feeds. In contrast, this alternative hopper covers 22-26mm and securely fastens with M4x12 screws, featuring a sliding door for easy pellet dumping. To improve visibility within the chute, an opening was added to the top, but it was later discovered that it is obstructed by the case or wooden support, without affecting functionality. The hopper includes a front slot to monitor pellet levels, which has been enhanced with a clear plastic report cover window and a cap for moisture prevention; a desiccant cartridge can also be added under the hopper using double-sided tape. For assembly, print the funnel with low infill (e.g., 10%) to avoid bulkiness. Due to its tight fit, any bulging corners of the hopper may need trimming before attachment to the barrel.
