Vertical Cam Locking Base - No Supports
thingiverse
Conceptual print for a quick-release vertical base mount. Mount the male end to a surface loosely (but secured) with a #10 screw. Female profile is to be added to the component being mounted as a fixed piece. Engage with the three-prong male base and lock with a quarter turn (90 degrees) of the male end. Pulling up draws the prongs together and clamps the ID of the profile. Pushing down forces the prongs out to grip the OD of the profile. The cam mount is NOT designed to lock rotation to allow for easy quick disconnect. It is not recommended for horizontal use. Knurled outside is not required for the female half; some type for texturing is recommended for the male half for improved grip. Printing: Print Male end "Prong up" and female end "Prong Down" (similar to separated photo) for no supports
