Vertical Axle Wind Turbine(VAWT) with noise decreasing upgrade
thingiverse
I created a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) at my local fabrication lab, Protospace. The twist in the blades reduces the pulsating sound common in regular Darrieus models, as mentioned by the lab manager. I designed it using OpenSCAD, although the code could be more organized; my programming experience is limited to a few "Hello World" Python scripts from tutorial exercises. To print and set up the turbine, choose your preferred printer, attach it to a snug rod (using glue if needed), mount it on a stand, and expose it to wind.
