Vertical 2020/3030 Bearing Spool Holder
thingiverse
Yet another spool holder that I'm particularly fond of due to its simplicity, low friction, and ease of changing filament. The original design used a type of bearing that was not readily available to me, so I decided to remake it using the most widely available bearing: the skateboard bearing also known as 608. It should work seamlessly with any printer utilizing vertical 2020/2040/3030 extrusions, such as the HyperCubes, D-Bot or VORON. The 2020 versions have a narrower profile closer to the extrusion to prevent sticking out. If you prefer it to stick out, you can use the 3030 versions on your 2020 extrusions. Both versions are suitable for most standard-sized filament rolls (up to 65mm wide). To create this spool holder, you will need: - A spool holder body of your choice - Two pins - Two skateboard bearings or printed versions - Screws and nuts for attachment to your printer
