Vertex K8400 Prusa-inspired E3D mount

I'll start this summary with credit where credit is due: - Original design of E3D accessories by thed0ct0r - Inspiration for my holder and clamp design by herrfrost About two years ago, I purchased an E3D V6 to improve the reliability of my Vertex K8400. Since then, I have been using the mount designed by herrfrost. However, I found that the part-cooling fan really lacked, so I wanted to add a Prisa-like duct. I found thed0ctr0r's design and really liked it, but I decided to adapt his parts to fit the K8400. The major difference is that I used a 3010 radial fan instead of the 5015, due to the lack of space. I also had to adapt the bottom piece of the XY-carriage clamps to fit the part-cooling fan duct. Required parts -------------- - E3D v6 (lite) - 3010 radial fan - 2 x M3 screws 25 mm long - 10 x M3 lock nuts - 3 x 62 mm long M3 threaded rod - 1 x 54 mm long M3 threaded rod Printing -------- The XY-carriage is the only part that requires supports to be printed successfully. The part-cooling duct should be printed in ABS or PETG, not PLA, because of the heat surrounding the nozzle. I used a layer height of 0.2mm and an infill of 40%. Assembly --------- To fix the threaded rod, I glued the bottom lock nut with some CA-glue. This way, the excess rod protrudes above the carriage, not below where it could damage the build plate. Printer changes --------------- You will have to elongate the y-axis end-stop trigger as shown in one of the pictures. This is because of the extra width due the E3D v6. I have done this with a popsicle stick, but there are some 3D-printing alternatives out there. The original bottom XY-carriage piece has to be replaced with a printed one, because it interfered with the fan duct.
