Vertex K8400 Head Fan Tunnel
thingiverse
I rework a custom designed fan setup on my Vertex K8400. The fan features a specially shaped, tunnel-style side mount paired with two files boasting both wide and narrow outlets. Initially, I mistakenly situated it atop the second head of my printer, but fortunately discovered an error in the design that allowed for swift adjustment to prevent potential malfunctions. To resolve this, I simply adjusted my printer's X Max value from 200 to 185 through the Printer settings -> Printer Shape section, thus saving my print from possible disaster. UPDATE: In an attempt to optimize airflow within the tunnel-style fan system, a new file dubbed "Tunel_slim_v4" has been uploaded, sporting an ultranarrow outlet with an improved flowpath design. By reducing the size of the outlet and adjusting the air's trajectory, it has resulted in much better cooling of my prints during the print job process.
