The Vertex Delta from Velleman arrives with belt pulleys that are deceptively tricky to handle. Essentially, three bearings ride on an M5 screw. The belt tension exerts a force on the M5, compelling the belt to slowly oscillate back and forth across the bearings. Ultimately, even with precise alignment and tensioning, you'll inevitably find the belt popping out as nothing guarantees its stability. The stock pulleys are notoriously stubborn to tighten, making it difficult to apply adequate tension to the belts due to their design. Here's where the pulley upgrade comes in! Simply print three replacement pulleys, dismount the original ones, and repurpose them into these custom-made pulleys. You'll need to purchase 9 M8 bolts and some M8 threaded shafts to complete the conversion.
