Version 2, Cube Dissection, Robert Reid, Three-Piece Zigzag Puzzle
thingiverse
This is a revised version of the Reid cube dissection. As illustrated in the diagram, the central shape in this particular design takes the form of a rhombus. The interior edges are intentionally rounded for effortless assembly. I have not had the opportunity to examine Reid's original model, and it is possible that this may be one of two distinct variations. To assemble the cube, three identical copies are required. It is worth noting that an infinite number of alternative designs exist, with some potentially more challenging to construct than others. I believe this particular version holds a certain level of interest. See also: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2995638
