The downtube is the most secure attachment point for the motor, avoiding issues related to rear suspension design. This unique entry uses the bolt lug of the motor casing as an anchor pivot and a regular brake or shifter cable to tie it down. The tied cable is covered with plastic/silicon-rubber tubing to protect the paint. When the downtube has a bent end section, the articulating member is angled so that four contact points are centered at the mating surfaces. A brake or shifter cable loops around the motor for a firm hold. The lightweight assembly offers several advantages: no modification of existing parts on the Sunstar motor; versatility in wrap-around cable positioning; less stress and fatigue on the bicycle frame, crank shell, and paint; smaller parts that are cheaper and quicker to produce; and an ergonomic, aesthetically pleasing design. The assembly is made from durable injection-molded plastics, primarily ABS, which eliminates the need for paint-protection padding. This material choice also speeds up mass production and keeps the weight down while maintaining adaptability to various bike frames. An updated version of the ABS plastic components has been uploaded for enhanced performance. Housekeeping notes include deleting old STL files and replacing them with a single step file for reference purposes.
