Versacopter Skid Plate
thingiverse
Recently getting into quadcopters, I was fed up with my lock nuts and base getting scratched up from bouncing off the concrete. I decided to try something new and found that these skids would reduce drag in the grass significantly. I have a very strong double-sided (low profile) foam tape that holds these skids firmly to the base without any issues. The clearance holes are big enough for me to easily remove the base with a Traxxas T-wrench. If you guys want, I might work on a Version 2 that uses screws instead of tape. However, I found that screws tend to split the plastic.
