This caliper, created using a laser cutter, offers precise readings up to 0.05 mm or 1/128 inch. Its accuracy depends on part fitment. The design is an amalgamation of various sources but not reliant on any single one for qualification as a derivative. It consists of three layers: part "3" at the bottom, maintaining sliding part cohesion; part "2A," wider than "1A," preventing disassembly; and narrower parts "2B" and "2C" accommodating "2A." Part "3" is cut in reverse orientation for efficient material usage. The photos showcase a laser engraving material with white body and black overcoat, revealing white after engraving. Depending on the chosen material, double-sided tape between parts "1A" and "2A" may be necessary, ensuring no interference with sliding piece operation. It uses US size 6-32 screws for assembly.
