Verizon Gizmo Watch Charging Stand
thingiverse
A father created a charging stand for his sons' Gizmo smart watches, and the first version was significantly larger than expected; however, he included it anyway, and a smaller, artsier version is included as an alternative. The charging stand does not accommodate the charger at full depth due to its thickness, resulting in a very tight tolerance on the groove that holds the charger. To resolve this issue, users can scale up the design by small amounts or remove small ridges if they encounter problems; however, if the tolerance is made too loose, the charger will no longer fit properly. The first version of the charging stand should be printed with supports unless users have exceptional bridging capabilities. Even with supports, considerable post-processing work is required to ensure a good fit, which is why the design was reworked to eliminate the need for supports and be printed as a single piece. The infill density can be adjusted according to user preference, but a denser infill will make the charging stand more durable and less prone to damage. The original Sketchup files are included for users who are curious about the design process or want to modify it further.
