This is a convenient basket that fits snugly inside where used pods are stored. The basket will sit comfortably on the inner ledge and be submerged in water at the bottom. This setup allows for effortless removal of the pods. Simply lift the basket and pour out the pods, then rinse the receptacle thoroughly. The ideal approach is to discard the pods before your next coffee, allowing them 12-24 hours to dry completely. Using this system results in significantly less mess. In contrast, prior to using this solution, I would have had to drain the water against the sink and then dispose of the pods, which often included unwanted liquid waste going into the garbage. The basket is specifically designed for Verismo models 580, although it does not fit newer versions of these machines. There are two distinct variations of this product: one with a diamond screen and another with solid walls. The diamond-printed version (_net) uses less material but requires more time to manufacture.
