October 2013 marked a significant milestone in my Minecraft endeavors - I successfully imported a custom model created in Tinkercad into the game, showcasing promising results but also revealing some challenges. The initial experiment, while partially successful, highlighted issues with scaling. The staircases, although aesthetically pleasing at one block high, inadvertently caused the castle to balloon in size, creating a disproportionate balance between its various components. Conversely, attempting to scale down the structure introduced new problems. This experience underscored the complexities of designing for Minecraft's unique 'pixelation' - a characteristic that demands careful consideration when crafting 3D models. The model was exported from Tinkercad as an OBJ file.
