This spinning unit will be mounted on 36 identical loops that will dangle from the needles of an early 20th century hand-cranked sock knitting machine. It's supposed to quicken up the casting process with the machine, as well as provide a solid foundation for weights. The center hole features a loop for attaching weights.\nAlthough my machine is a Verdun (non-auto), it should work on any other machine, including Legare, Erlbacher Gearhart, AutoKnitter, or others that use cylinders, because the diameter of the unit is noticeably smaller than the interior of the cylinder.
