Venus of Villetaneuse at the UEA, Norwich
myminifactory
This sculpture was created by French sculptor César Baldaccini (born January 1, 1921, in Marseille, France) and passed away on December 6, 1998, in Paris, France. A pioneering artist, César led the way for the Nouveau Réalisme movement with his bold approaches to sculpture. His innovative use of compacted automobiles, discarded metal, and trash was balanced by expansions using polyurethane foam sculptures, alongside fantastical representations of animals and insects. This object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. Scan the World aims to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world that are accessible for free to the public. As an open source community effort, anyone can contribute interesting items found locally and email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how they can participate in this project.
