Venus of Monruz
thingiverse
Nothing compares to the original photograph taken in studio light, but this attempt recreates one of my favorite Venus idols in a reproducible form that can be purchased, printed or worn by anyone. It used to dishearten me that such a beautiful piece of Paleolithic art was virtually unknown and not available in a format that could be easily obtained. The 11,000-year-old Venus of Monruz is a highly-stylized goddess amulet carved from black jet, discovered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Right now, I print everything on stock Creality Ender 3 using Creality's built-in slicing software. I build using Tinkercad, an amazing free 3D creation program. Please feel free to remix or polish this piece however you like. Attribution is always appreciated! If you create something from it, I'd love to see your results.
