The original 3D scan of a mold from an ancient artifact was captured using the Artec Spider scanner. Discovered in 1922 within the Rideaux cave at Lespugue (Haute-Garonne) near the base of the Pyrenees, it was unearthed by archaeologist René de Saint-Périer. The object stands approximately 6 inches tall and is carved from tusk ivory. Unfortunately, it sustained damage during excavation. For further information, consult the Wikipedia page directly.
