The Venus of Hohle Fels, also known as the Schelklingen Venus, was a highly prized Upper Paleolithic artifact crafted from mammoth ivory that was unearthed in 2008 within the confines of Hohle Fels cave near Schelklingen, Germany. Estimated to be around 35,000 to 40,000 years old, it remains the oldest definitively dated human representation known to date. Clearly used as a necklace, this figurine offers a glimpse into the artistic expression and cultural practices of ancient humans. Today, the Venus figurine is proudly displayed at the Prehistoric Museum in Blaubeuren. This STL model was carefully created from a high-resolution scan of the original cast, which was exhibited in the Czech Republic ten years ago. After an extensive two-year search to locate these casts, I utilized a state-of-the-art scanner capable of resolutions below 25 microns to capture precise details. The end result is a museum-quality recreation that accurately represents the original Venus figurine, offering an unparalleled level of accuracy and authenticity.
