Venus Kalyppigos (Venus aux belles fesses)

Gustav III commissioned an ancient replica of Venus aux belles fesses for the Pillar Hall at the Royal Palace. However, the love goddess' head was eerily similar to Ulla von Höpken, Duke Fredrik Adolf's former mistress. Her uncle, councillor von Fersen, attempted to persuade Sergel to tone down the likeness but ultimately failed, as the king wanted to take a jab at his brother Fredrik Adolf for siding with the wrong party in the royal family feud over the crown prince's legitimacy. These 3D scans were created using an Artec Eva, aiming to produce a digital replica that closely resembles the original. Yet, the presented scans should not be considered exact duplicates due to inaccessible areas and deviations from the original that may occur.
